Turtle Conservation Experiences

Sri Lanka’s coastline remains one of the few sanctuaries where five sea turtle species still nest. Join conservation teams on moonlit beach patrols, witnessing nesting females and, in hatching season, hatchlings making their first journey to the sea. Learn about the threats they face, habitat loss, fishing nets, plastic pollution and the grassroots efforts protecting them. A quietly powerful experience along the south and west coasts, best between November and April. Come not as a spectator, but as part of the effort.
